@tinkeredthinkingHello all. If you've found this chat room for the Tinkered Thinking reading group, this isn't the actual reading group! It's just an example of a channel in Spiel. Feel free to post/comment in here if you want. Recommend some essays or books that you'd love to see us dive into. Otherwise, a more 'official' invite to the Reading Group space will be forth coming in a little while. Stay tuned on Twitter, but feel free to poke around here on Spiel!
@Thought_benderI think starting with something that has to do with critical thinking, or that gives a person tools on thinking and to develop it would be fantastic start. As it allows for more lively discussions in the future.
@tinkeredthinkingI'm thinking of starting with William Deresiewicz's essay "Leadership and Solitude". It covers a lot of themes that I imagine will be pertinent to later material.
One thing I'd like to see is cross-text sub channels, where we can create sub channels within the reading group that relate specific texts. So imagine a channel for "Leadership and Solitude" and a channel for Paul Graham's essay on 'Writing' and then a third sub channel that is about both of them together

@tinkeredthinking@murat. here's an example of that "evergreen/banner" message that I mentioned in feature requests. This message will be unseeable if people keep posting in this channel...
@tinkeredthinkingThis channel also has a sub channel called "Reading Group Structure" with a short summary of the plan what the discussion will be organized. If you have ideas about it, pleas post them there!
